Morales (7-0) struck out six and walked none, throwing only 75 pitches for UC-Irvine (20-8 overall, 3-3 Big West).
Taylor Sparks was a special spot of trouble for Hawaii. The third baseman hit two home runs and drove in five runs. Ronnie Shaeffer added two RBIs.
Hawaii starter Matt Cooper (2-3) lasted only three innings. He gave up six runs (three earned) on five hits and no walks. He struck out one.
Hawaii (7-21, 2-4) managed only four hits on the day.
